When you submit a form on CousinVin, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, state of residence, and the type of legal matter you are seeking help with. We do not collect payment information directly — payments are processed by Stripe.
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or advertising technologies on this platform.

Once you are matched with an attorney and an engagement letter is executed, your attorney is the data controller for all matter-related information. CousinVin's role is limited to facilitating intake under attorney supervision.
CousinVin does not retain client files, work product, or privileged matter content. Matter content — including intake responses, the matter brief, and associated client information — is permanently deleted from CousinVin's systems within 24 hours of the attorney confirming receipt and downloading all work product.
Prior to matter completion, the attorney is required to confirm download of all work product before CousinVin processes the completion. CousinVin's deletion is permanent and irreversible. If you need copies of your documents after matter completion, you must obtain them directly from your attorney.
Do not submit privileged or confidential information to CousinVin prior to the establishment of an attorney-client relationship with an assigned attorney.
CousinVin retains only the minimum data necessary for business operations and legal compliance:

Pre-engagement form submissions are stored in Google Workspace, which is subject to Google's privacy and security practices. We retain this information only as long as necessary to facilitate your inquiry.

CousinVin is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
